What if you believe?

Kamin Bell - What if you believe?

Wow, time is flying!

It's hard to believe we've already completed three months of 2009! I'd ask where did it go but I know. I recently started a new job and moved to a lovely new city, a beautiful manifestation, so lots of time has been spent there. I've definitely neglected my writing but I have 5 mindmaps ready to go all on manifesting in these times.

I have been coaching and teaching people about attracting more abundance in the current environment because people really are. These times are just a correction. I don't use the "R" word. Of course I know people affected by the economy but when one of my closest friends called to tell me that she'd lost her job and blamed it on the economy, I said it had nothing to do with the economy. There was a long pause on the phone. I followed up with the quesion, "Let me ask you this, was that job killing you?" I knew it was and she said, "Yes." We have similar spiritual beliefs, so my next question was, "have you gotten the sense from God that you were to do something else or look for another job?" Again she answered, "Yes." I spent the next 30 minutes or so coaching her about what to do next, where to place her thoughts, and teaching her to reconnect to who she truly is. The synchronicities that have occurred for her since then have been remarkable, beautiful and a great reminder that when we listen, really listen, not in fear, we are so guided and provided for.

I, too, have to listen and take action and believe and dream. I did write my intentions for this year on December 31, 2008. In a couple of days, I'll pull them out and see how I'm doing and see if any need adjusting. I'm grateful I took this opportunity to connect with one of my intentions for this year and write here tonight. And, I'm looking forward to sharing more thoughts on manifesting in these times.

Blessings, Kamin

The Year in Review

What a year. It's hard to believe it is almost over. It seems to have gone by so fast but when I stop to look at what took place this year...WOW...It's been quite a year.

I have been "off the grid," so to speak, wrapped up in manifesting. I manifested something spectacular and peculiar and frustrating and wonderful, all at the same time. I must admit, I have done my fair share of whining over the past couple of months but over the last few days, I've been thinking about 2008 and my accomplishments. Sure, I tried some things that didn't work out but I learned from them...I hope. I had great fun, lots of laughter, a few tears, some heartache, but overall, a really good year

In a few days, on December 31st, I will begin my annual ritual (really biannual as I do this on my birthday as well) and I will write in my red velvet journal my mother gave me years ago. That day I will write my year in review...mostly from a success perspective and all that I've accomplished. And, on January 1st, I will write my "intentions" for the year ahead. In MissionAbundance I write a lot about setting intentions, coming from the core of who we are and what wants to be expressed through us. I have specific areas that I will set intentions for, which I will share in a later post.

I so look forward to this time. It's truly magical both in realizing my ability to survive all that life has to offer and my ability to dream and have hope for the future.

If you haven't looked for your successes this year, now is the time. Over the next few days, keep a running list of accomplishments...even if the year has been tough for you, I know you can find a few. Find the good in your life and be grateful for what you do have in this moment...right this moment. And, have hope for the future.

MissionAbundance: Your Mission...

Each month I receive wonderful questions at www.askkaminbell.com regarding experiencing more abundance in our lives. At the monthly teleclasses on the third Tuesday of the month, I can never get to answering all of them due to the sheer volume of questions. Many of them have the same theme:

- How do I get started
- How do I focus
- How do I change my thoughts from positive to negative
- How do I create a plan to live my dream
- And, ultimately, how do I really change my life and live my dreams and desires.

I decided to create a step-by-step program for those of you who have been asking yourselves these questions and truly want to make changes but are not sure how.

When I wrote "Journey to Abundance" it was mostly from a wealth perspective. But abundance is much bigger than just wealth. Abundance includes having wonderful health, relationships, joy and prosperity.

Go to www.missionabundance.com to find out more information and to get your gift, "10 Tips to Begin to Dream Again." This special report was based on so many questions on how to reconnect with your dreams.

This new 4-month, really unbelievably low cost program is designed around your biggest questions about experiencing more abundance and living your dreams. I wanted to make sure that I kept this program affordable. If I charged what others charged, many good people wouldn't be able to take advantage.

And, most importantly, this program is about connecting you to your dreams, creating an action plan that you can take action on almost automatically, focusing on what you want and taking consistent action to catapult you toward your dream.

There is a special Charter Membership available for those people who are ready now to change their lives. But, it's only for the first 30 26 people. The price goes up after that.

Go now to check it out and pick up your free tips! www.missionabundance.com.

Masters in Spiritual Psychology?

I have been asked many times about my Masters in Spiritual Psychology. Recently I was asked to sit on the Graduate Panel for an information night at the University of Santa Monica (USM). I had such a fabulous time sharing my wins from school.

One of the number one questions people have about this degree is what does one do with it? On the panel with me was a medical doctor, a clothing designer, and a talent agent.  Each of us talked about the difference the degree has made in our lives, the fulfillment of our dreams, and how we are with people. I focused on how prior to USM I had some communications issues. Having been military for 9 years and growing up in a very disciplined family, I could be a bit rough around the edges. And, I had been quite successful in my career with regard to getting things done and accomplishing tasks. However, what I knew was that the person that I was when I was with my friends was (is) a kind, loving, generous, caring person. But that's not who showed up to work each day. Dr. Ron Hulnick, president of USM, says that we leave 70% of our real selves in the car when we go into our office buildings. Well, I was leaving about 90% in the car. And, I desperately wanted to change that.

One wonderful aspect of USM is that we learned 35 basic communication skills. And, because I really wanted to improve my communication at the office, I asked for tuition reimbursement and it was granted. About 1/3 of my Masters of Arts in Spiritual Psychology was covered by my company! How cool is that! I continue to use those skills every day as a coach, a teleclass leader and a people manager. I did get challenged by the reimbursement department the second year but my boss and I both spoke to the tremendous improvements I had made on the job. And, with my friends? I got to be more loving, more kind, more joyful and more compassionate than ever. I can honestly say that I get to take 90% of my authentic self into work each day and it's such a great feeling!

If you would like more information about USM, visit www.universityofsantamonica.edu. It is the greatest gift I gave myself, and all the panelist said the same as well. Feel free to ask me questions as well. It is an amazing program and wonderful opportunity to be who you came here to be

Our Faith in Spring

I recently returned from the East coast to the West coast. What a difference a few hours makes. When I left New York it was 50 degrees with the sun shining. Much of the weekend was a high of 43. For a California girl, in March, that's just unnatural. The week before I had been in crop pants and sandals enjoying the warmth. For those of you in colder parts of the world, I know you're calling me a wimp. And, I am!

Just a few days ago, we entered Spring which is clearly evident in California by the budding trees and flowers. It has yet to emerge on the East coast, where the ground is still hard and the trees barren. And yet, I know the season is changing there even without clear evidence. It must, it's nearly time based on our calendar.

As with our own dreams, we may be believing for something to bloom in our lives and come to fruition. And, we've been believing for some time with no evidence of movement or new life. We may not have the same  confidence we have when we know it's Spring. We may not have the faith needed to believe all the way to the seen with our dreams.

But the Law of Attraction states that what we focus on expands and attracts to us. And, biblically, Hebrews 11:1 states: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (KJV)

So, if we have a dream that we've been believing for, what if we did have the same faith we have in Spring? What if we looked for the buds of our dreams, the small shifts in the Universe that showed we are on the right track? What if we held a position of knowing that the Universe heard our prayers and was delivering to us what we were believing for? Would it not amplify our use of the Law of Attraction? Would we hold on longer to our dreams, give up less, stay focused, and know that our heart's desires were just around the corner?

What an amazing time Spring is and I shall now wait with more faith knowing that my own spring, my own new creations, my own dreams, will bloom, too.

Many Blessings,
Kamin

Abundance Recommendation Center

One thing I love to do is share new finds. If you are on my newsletter list, you should have received, or will shortly, an email recommending a great book from a friend of mine, John Seeley entitled "Get Unstuck!  The Simple Guide to Restart Your Life."  To learn more about John’s special offer and to purchase the book, go to: http://www.getunstuck.com/Get-Unstuck-Special-Offer.html

My intention is to send only one newsletter recommendation per month and put any additional ones here.

I have recently stumbled on to two great finds. The first is a wonderful company,  "Affirmagy.” I discovered their Abundance blanket one day after church in the bookstore. It’s a beautiful purple and I left it in its plastic case for months...because it was so beautiful. As the Universe would have it, I ended up sitting next to the founder of Affirmagy at a fundraising dinner in December! I promised Kristin I would use it and I truly have. I love it! I’ve given these to a few of my friends and they love them, too. Each blanket has fabulous inspirational messages.

The second, I discovered through Sharon Wilson, one of my teachers from last year. "The Instrument" is an AMAZING visual tool for the Law of Attraction. It's beautiful. I have used it many times and it even helped me prepare for

an internet podcast interview I did a few weeks ago (it will be posted soon). This tool will truly raise your vibration. And, you will receive a great PDF on Treasure Mapping at their website. Visit www.kaminbell.com/instrument.

That’s all for now.

I Yielded

I am in the process of reading "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle. I am trying to read as fast as I can as Oprah's class begins tonight. I found myself on the pages yesterday and had to share. In a section marked, "The Peace That Passes All Understanding," on page 57, he writes, "Whenever tragic loss occurs, you either resist or you yield. Some people become bitter or deeply resentful; others become compassionate, wise, and loving. Yielding means inner acceptance of what is. You are open to life."

I was so struck by that statement. That has truly been my experience, I could have become bitter, jaded, angry and yet I found more love, more compassion, more contentment with my life and all that I do have.  And, I am far more grateful than I ever could have dreamed as I write about in "Journey."

It is so cool to find oneself in someone else's words. I love it when I do and it helps remind me that someone else knows, shares and/or understands “my” story. We are truly not alone on this journey. We are all connected.

Blessings,
Kamin

I'm Back!

I’ve been away for what seems like forever. But, I’m back. I’m not sure where time has gone but I have been busy writing and speaking quite a bit on Journey and on my follow on project. More to come on that later.

For today, I’m just taking one small step of courage to come back, reconnect and recommit to writing here more often. I’ve got some cool new things to share soon. And, all in good time

So, better late than never... Here’s to a Great 2008!

Blessings, Kamin

The Firestorm Within

As I write, we here in California are experiencing a Federal State of Emergency in Southern, CA. My area is fairly safe from fires with the nearest approximately 15-20 miles away which seems close but it isn’t.

I am praying for safety for all and that an angelic, thick, foam of fire retardant and extinguishing agents miraculously covers the area and puts out the fires. I also think about how this takes form in my own life. The three things that contributed to the fires spreading are overgrown, dry brush, lack of humidity and high winds. So, when I look within I wonder where is the overgrown weeds that are cluttering my thoughts or dreams? Where in my life have I planted good seed that needs moisture and nurturing? And, where in my life do I have high winds, too much talk, not enough action or, where I’m letting a whirlwind of thoughts cause confusion or mayhem? Years ago, I was in an operational job that seemed to have lots of emergencies. I found myself "backlighting" fires on myself that got out of control by not paying attention to ALL that was going on. I would be too focused on the big emergencies, fires, and missing the small embers that were smoldering behind me.

Today, as I think of constructive thoughts as the fires rage outside, I realize there are three things I need to do to prevent my own firestorm:
  1. Cutback the shrubs and weeds from my dreams. Watch my words since "words have life." Speak and think only of good. I attended a workshop this weekend by Greg Mooers of www.lifecamp.com where he asked us to spend 3 to 1 the amount of time talking and mental focus/prep on our dreams versus dwelling on the past.
  2. Remember to nurture and water my dreams and goals. Don’t let them dry up from neglect. Visualize and keep pictures in front of me of what I want to accomplish.
  3. Meditate. When my mind chatter gets out of control, I haven’t spent time in silence meditating. The other culprit is when I’m not living in the present moment. I’m either future fantasizing or catastrophizing (made up word ) or reliving the past. In the present there is only now. "Am I safe right now?" "Yes." And, breathe...breathe...breathe...

If you pray, please pray for no wind and that the fires miraculously go out, just like turning off a gas stove. If you don’t pray, send good thoughts and love to those who are living the devastation of their homes. And, take a moment to Weed, Water and Meditate as necessary for your own life and dreams. Oh yes,  and be grateful.

Abundant Blessings, Kamin
